First payday

Today some of you received an email saying You've got new funds!. Indeed, we made the first payouts to those that had provided Skype Prime services in March.
Congratulations to all early adopters of Skype Prime out there! Now, you may or may have noticed that you didn't become a millionaire. Or the fact that it took us a while to pay out your money. Please bear in mind that Skype Prime is still in Beta status and expect a better product (and paydays) in the future.

When will you support Linux users? What about JUST End users.
Situation:
A new Linux adopter installs Ubuntu Linux Novell's Open Suse OR Fedora Linux but can't play MP3 and wants easy guide from someone experienced.
Solution: Now if Skype would support Linux END-USER-Caller , there can be Desktop Icon to "Voice_Call Experts" putting Help via voice just a Click away.
The opportunity is endless here, for 'everyone'.
So Skype, When will you want to start this? When will you start supporting Skype-Prime to Linux callers?
(BTW, A Windows user friend of mine wanted to help me and tried to initiate "CHARGE" when "IN_CALL", nothing worked.)
NOTE: I Didn't even mention 'VIDEO' here, so no need for developers to cringe with irritation and curl knees near chest in horror.

Hi, i have a great idea - make it so that we can just have recorded messages for the caller - bit like a faxback service but in voice.
I would really like this, i could do my market commentary twice a day recorded, the punter calls up and automatically gets the 'pay me' offer and then when accepted gets to hear the recorded message.
is there any way you would consider that for future development?

We already provide phone, chat and in-person support to Linux users at LinuxBazar.com Of course, this service of skype makes it very convenient to provide Linux support to linux users and get paid using PayPal in advance. Cool skype by integrating skype, paypal, search and creating another eBay.

Firstly, please forgive me if I'm not posting this in an appropriate place, but I'm posting it EVERYWHERE until I find the solution - I'm fed up!
If we can't establish a decent video-phone for skype in a market as huge as the USA by the year 2008 - I believe this issue should be of "PRIME" IMPORTANCE!
Anyway, here's me beef...
The Scenario:
I'm currently living in the US (Seattle) without any paid phone or internet connection...
The Issue:
I want to use Skype for my phone service, as it is much cheaper than most phone plans in the US, plus it makes calling home (Perth, Australia) much easier (& cheaper!)
The Mission:
I need to find a mobile web browsing device to launch a plan with a US Internet Service Provider on, & connect to the internet with (so that I can make calls thru skype on my mobile internet device!)
The mobile device must:
* work fluidly with Skype (obviously)
* be designed to make calls over the web (not necessarily a phone)
* work on a wifi internet connection network in the US
I'm (desperately) trying to find a device on the market that not only does these things, but will also:
* tether an internet connection to my mac book pro
* have the ability to conduct video calls
Now, is all that too much to ask??? ...even in the year 2008, it appears so.
I haven't found any decent responses yet!
No, the iPhone won't tether, or make video calls, & it is locked to specific phone network carriers in the US. It is NOT Skype friendly. I need a mobile device that will simply connect wirelessly to the internet, the same way you'd connect a laptop on a plan with any ISP... (but it must be able to function as a phone for skype)
PDA's & similar devices are reknowned for their shabby handling of calls over the internet - these do not qualify as "working fluidly with Skype" or being "designed for making calls over the web"
...& no, I'm not convinced that a PSP is really an ideal solution.
Surely, there MUST be something out there specifically designed for this by now, & if not - WHY NOT?!
So, tell me - how good are you?
Can you name a mobile product or device that can do all this in the United States???
Even if you know of any leads that may help that I can follow up on, PLEASE - TELL ME!!!
Exhaustively,
Martin.
